InternetSafety.com on the Cover of Christian Computing Magazine

Christian Computing Magazine made us their April cover story because they were so impressed with our suite of Internet safety solutions. Click on the cover to read the article, which details how the founders of InternetSafety.com, Aaron and Shane Kenny, first introduced the idea of “flexible filtering” into the marketplace.

The idea behind “flexible filtering” is that the user should be in control of what is and what is not allowed to come into their home via their Internet connection, since each family has their own definition of “inappropriate content.” The idea has become commonplace in the Internet filtering field, but in 1999, it was the first and only such solution available to families.

Here’s an excerpt from the article:

“We brought a new idea into the market place which we called ‘flexible filtering,’ so when a user dialed up to the Internet, he or she got to pick what categories of web sites were blocked for the account. We were the first company to put the filtering philosophy into the hands of the customers. Our overarching philosophy has been to create a flexible toolkit that a family can apply to their specific requirements, because every family has their own rules. Everyone’s got a different view of what’s right for their kids, and we strive to create Internet safety software that is flexible enough for any family’s views.
