I also have a suggestion for parents, who have kids of 5-10 years old. It is an educational iPhone app Kinder Hangman - http://sharkfuel.com/kinderhangman.html that is an interesting iPhone game and very useful for development of kids. It allows children to learn new words easily, effectively and quickly. Learning process is organized as an interesting game with graphical themes and animations. It is a good game that kids usually like very much. So, parents can use it to keep kids busy.

I love Juicebox Software! They have GREAT kid-friendly apps that I can put on my iPhone and use to entertain my children for hours. These apps are great quality and designed very well. They just launched the Animal Coloring Book app for Android mobile devices. This simple, digital coloring book offers an array of themed pages to color. You can choose Farm, Jungle, Marine or Insect themed pages, and color and save to the Gallery for printing or fine-tuning at a later time. It's so great! Animal Coloring Book entertains children with its simplicity and endless possibilities of creations. Definitely check it out! http://www.juiceboxsoftware.com

You'll find many sounding pictures for kiddies on http://www.Winzki.de
The "Winzki.de" apps have been specifically designed for the use by young children. For example: If you swipe, it even works when another finger rests on the display. AND they work with the iPhone in "Airplane mode".

Of course, there's a "Lite Winzki" for free, so you can try it out. More themes are "Farm Winzki", "Home Winzki", "Build Winzki", "Cute Winzki" and possibly even more...

iTunes link to "Lite Winzki": http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=331553563&mt=8

Have fun!
